What are the things that are required from my company to complete a web site design?
Brochures, logos, photographs, product descriptions, business cards etc. are all recommended resources to use. For new businesses we will help you get started from scratch. It would be very helpful if you could reference a web site/websites that is/are similar to what you want your web site to look like.

How long does it typically take to build a web site?
There are many factors that determine the time required to complete a web site. It normally takes 14 to 30 days (for a basic site) or anywhere between 30 and 90 days (for a large complex site). If a web site requires hosting and/or a domain name purchase it does not significantly increase time from the date we begin the design process to your web site being posted on the Web.

If I already have a web site can you help me to improve it?
Yes. We can re-design or add content to an existing site, which usually costs less money than building one from scratch. Give us an idea of what you would like to do and we will be glad to give you a quote.

Can you use my company's existing logo, brochure design or other materials for my web site and vice versa?
Yes, we certainly can incorporate your existing company literature in the new web site. Targeted Designs’ designers will help you keep your online image consistent with your existing one. If your logo and promotional material are not in electronic format, we can scan and convert them to a format appropriate for your web site.
If you would like images from your web site to be used for graphic printing be aware that most images on the internet are at very low resolution and will result in very poor quality printing. Therefore, you may need to contact your logo designer for professional artwork. We will be glad to assist you in improving the quality or event re-creating desired design elements but if significant time is required to attain usable art, additional charges may apply.

Does my business need to be computer-based in order to have a web site?
Do I need to know about computers?
You do not necessarily need to have computers involved in your business in order to have a web site. Many companies do filing, invoicing and more without a computer. Creating a web site is more about exposing your business to new potential clients and generating new sales. You can hire web site hosting services. There is no need to overhaul the way your company does business.

Is there any maintenance required after designing and hosting a web site?
Depending on the business, some amount of maintenance would be required. As your business evolves, it may require some things to be added, deleted, or modified. If there is no much change in the business from time to time, the maintenance will also be minimal. Targeted Designs offers two free basic web site updates for adding/changing text, links and adding pictures to existing pages. More complex web site maintenance can be done under separate agreement.

Yes, it is recommended to optimize your web site with respect to various browsers, and also to check for any syntax errors. Targeted Designs will ensure that your web site is compatible with the top seven web browsers before posting it on the Web.
